Z10PR-D16 is a server board with an outstanding rack-optimized design that delivers extreme cooling and flexible expandability, and includes premium efficiency and maximum processing performance. The OCP compliance mezzanine card design provides extended functionality such as support for 10GbE PCI-E devices. With its great balance of efficiency, performance and easy management, Z10PR-D16 is ideal for IP datacenter rack compute node & memcache node and cloud-computing environments.

Rack-optimized cooling design
Z10PR-D16 layout is optimized for rack-mounted configurations, because both the CPU and memory are placed in a parallel arrangement directly behind the fan inlet to promote maximum cooling for excellent thermal efficiency. The rack-optimized design with OCP compliance makes Z10PR-D16 suitable for datacenter.

2+1 expandability in 1U rack server
Z10PR-D16 has flexible expandability with riser card for two low-profile PCI-E HBA and OCP slot for one mezzanine card in 1U rack server. Through riser card, Z10PR-D16 could support two PCI Express 3.0 x8 (x8 link) HBA; OCP slot could support one PCI Express 3.0 x8 (x8 link) mezzanine card. Optional PIKE II series HBA and MCB-10G series OCP mezzanine card make Z10PR-D16 has diverse range of applications including storage and networking.

Optional PIKE II 3x08 series SAS 12Gb/s solution
ASUS PIKE II 3x08 series is the latest 12Gb/s SAS and PCI-E 3.0 high reliability enterprise storage solution. It meets users’ needs with support for 6Gb/s SATA and 12Gb/s SAS storage and integrated RAID data protection. Just placing the PIKE card, Z10PR-D16 can immediately enlarge the capacity and improve the performance, making it the great upgrade option.

ASUS Z10 server board series design the premium power solution with the hand-chosen components and provide premium efficiency which is up to 94%. The premium power solution consist 4 pillars to achieve the 94% premium efficiency: Beat Thermal Choke, Dr. MOS, 12K capacitor and Digi+ VRM. A special fin design of Beat-Thermal-Choke results in 3-5℃-lower choke temperatures and raise the stability, and translates into minimal-loss power delivery. The Dr. MOS is a proven stable circuit integrated MOSFET, which can optimize the switching performance and contribute the efficiency to the system. ASUS DIGI+ VRM design empowers users with superior flexibility and has the perfect precision to ensure optimized performance, extreme system stability. Moreover, ASUS is the world’s first server manufacturer to introduce 12K solid capacitors which are able to withstand up to 1,200,000 hours of temperatures as high as 65°C (12K hours@105°C). These 12K capacitors can also lower equivalent series resistance (ESR) and thus to increase efficiency and minimal heat generation.

Quick Initialization Guidance
The ASUS Z10 Series features quick initialization guidance which let users realize system initialization state in seconds; furthermore users are able to diagnose system instantly through POST code message in the POST stage. The quick initialization guidance during the POST includes 2 phases. In phase 1 -- POST in seconds, the screen lightens in seconds to make users instantly access to system initializing status. In phase 2, device scanning information and 2-digit POST code messages are available to give users a total understanding of startup process and to clearly indicate boot-up status which is easy for troubleshooting.

Complete remote server management
The ASMB8-iKVM (IPMI 2.0-compliant) enables remote update BIOS, standalone KVM/Java utility, video recording and BSOD capture. Based on out-of-band management, even if the server operating system is down or offline, the KVM module can still provide round-the-clock remote monitoring and diagnosis through a user-friendly web-based graphical interface via all major browsers.
